Happy Birthday to Ethan!

~ Ethan's Science Experiment Birthday party ~

Each of the sixteen kids attending got to wear a disposable lab coat and their very own Junior Scientist badge.

All the kids colored some water in cups and then dropped jelly crystals in. We put the cups aside to check later (the jelly crystals -- superabsorbent polymers -- soaked up all the water) and then pulled out the prepared colored jelly crystals (six colors!) and made rainbow test tubes.
(Sadly, no photos were taken of the test tubes.)

We also did a hidden message experiment with these jelly marbles.

Insta-snow!!

Rainbow peepholes. Very colorful.

Insta-worms were the biggest hit! Come visit us. We have extra.

Say cheese!
Coolest birthday party ever.

We took the front of the party invitation, slightly modified, and had it made into a cake!

Outside it was pouring, but inside was cozy with cake!
One of the many themed signs around the house.

Time to open presents!
